Ostia – Active the beach health care service
For a few weeks now, the provincial committee of the Roman Red Cross has been activating a servizio health care on the Ostia Coast. At the Paolo Toscanelli waterfront bathing establishment, CRI volunteers (with OPSA multipurpose water rescue operator certification) provide bathing surveillance and rescue assistance and are dedicated to the first aid service at a specially set up station.
"The beach," reads the official statement, "is dedicated to the organization of A series of social support services and activities for the entire summer period, with a greater increase in the days of greatest attendance. The project is also designed to enable local CRI committees in the province to be able to make use of a beach that is also accessible to people with psycho-motor difficulties and the caregivers afferent to the territorial units, so that they can derive the typical benefits of a day spent at the beach.".
